DIT University, Dehradun is a private university, established in the year 2013. It is founded by Unison Group and is situated in green and scenic outskirts of Dehradun valley. The University has been conferred “BEST PRIVATE ENGINEERING COLLEGE - 2018” in Uttarakhand Educator’s Summit 2018. Its campus has over 5000 students studying in different courses and has experienced faculty using the latest technology aids.

The college has more than 24+ years of educational experience. In all these years, they have managed to have a strong back up support of more than 270 faculty members. The number of students admitted lately has been over 5300. Their total alumni strength has been more than 18,000 students.

Students have an advantage of reporting discrepancies (if any) in their respective answer sheets to the concerned department thereby making the entire process transparent. Students are encouraged to actively organize and participate in various club activities and assist the Institute as responsible members of various academic committees to help impart leadership skills.

DIT University Dehradun Hostel 

The college also has a hostel for the girls and the boys of the college. The hostels of the college are very well ventilated and that is the first priority of them to ensure that hostels have proper ventilation for the college. There are comfortable twin and triple sharing rooms in the college with proper amenities. The hostels have wi-fi throughout the day because that is the need of the hour for the students. Talking about the security of the college, there is warden who looks after the hostel campus and for the needs of the students. 

The security is obviously intact but that doesn’t mean that the students cannot have fun in their hostels. They just have to be in discipline. The hostel also has a mess which provides hygienic and fresh food to the students three times a day along with the evening snack.

The students can enjoy the meals inside the mess in a light hearted and chilled environment. The college takes pride in saying that they haven’t ever received a single complaint about the hostel food’s taste and quality. They make sure that the students do not feel that they are away from their homes.

There is a secure, comfortable and healthy environment for all the residents of the DIT University hostels. The hostel accommodation comprises of American style apartments which are well furnished, hygienic and have ultramodern amenities. Each apartment has three rooms shared by two students each, a lobby and attached bathrooms.

The hostel premises has common TV room, tuck-shops (having stationary, barber, bakery, juice etc. shops) and state of the art indoor and outdoor sports facilities. The hostel campus has an excellent modern gymnasium with a trainer. The entire hostel premises are Wi-Fi enabled and has a separate computer centre with 24X7 internet facility.

Presently, there are four in-campus boys hostel which are Raman, Bose, Bhabha and Sarabhai that can accommodate 1,200 boys in total. University also has a separate in-campus Girl’s hostel which are Sarojini and Kasturba, which can accommodate around 1,100 girls in total. he hostel premises comprises of separate dining facility in the Boys’ and Girls’ hostels.

The menu of the Mess is decided by the Students’ Mess Committees. The food served is of high quality and meets the acceptable quality standards of as laid down under FSSAI and other Govt food safety regulations. Special consideration is given to provide a well-balanced, nutritional diet with varying food tastes.

DIT University has well equipped functional Infirmary which caters for the First Aid and limited out patient medical services of the DIT University staff and students. The Infirmary is run and managed under the guidance of qualified and experienced doctors of the prestigious Blue Circle Medi Services Pvt. Ltd. A Lady Medical Officer is available on campus during the better part of the day and Nursing Staff and Ambulance are available 24×7.

Apart from Blue Circle Medi Services Pvt. Ltd, we have a tie up with few other prominent hospitals of the city which provide OPD, IPD treatment and diagnostics at discounted rates.

DIT University Dehradun Placements 

The placements of the college has been incredible and is only increasing with each year. In the academic year 2021 - 22, till date more than 1250 placements have been done. The topmost placement has been at Amazon with 30 LPA, Play Simple with 20 LPA, ZSCaler with 21 LPA, etc. 68% of the students have backed placements of more than 5 LPA. 17% of the students have backed the placements for more than 10 LPA and 6% of the students have backed the placements of more than 20 LPA.

Training Programmes by the college 

• 1 Year - Special Soft Skill Trainings are arranged to enhance the cluster of personality traits, social graces, communication, language, interpersonal skills, etc. that characterize relationships with other people.
• 2 Year - 40 Hours of Value Added Training, related to special software for enhancing technical skills of the students.
• 3 Year - 80 hours of rigorous Aptitude Training for enhancing the aptitude (numerical, verbal, reasoning, analytical skills) of the students. Since this is considered as the initial level of screening in any placement process, special care is taken for the aptitude training.

DIT University Dehradun Scholarship

DIT University always encourages scholarly aptitude and merit in Students. In order to facilitate Scholarship among Students towards their Academic excellence, following Scholarships are awarded by University to Meritorious students. DIT University has tied up with leading banks including State Bank of India & Axis Bank to make easy education loan available to the DIT University students. Other bank tie ups are with Punjab and National Bank and Canara Bank.

Scholarships are given to the meritorious and the financially disabled students. The students must check their eligibility for scholarship for a particular course at the time of the admissions and apply for it or else they will not be able to take the benefit of it later. 

DIT University Dehradun Eligibility 

B.Tech - Minimum 50% marks in X Std. & Aggregate 50% marks in XII Std. in 4 subjects - Physics, Math, English + best one of the remaining subjects 

B.Tech Lateral Entry - Minimum 50% marks in Diploma in Engineering / BSc.

B.Pharma - Minimum 50% marks in Diploma in Pharmacy.

B.Arch -  Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics subjects or passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject.

And The candidate needs to qualify an aptitude test in architecture conducted either by NTA (i.e. JEE) or “NATA” conducted by the Council of Architecture.

B.Des - Minimum 50% marks in XII Std. or its equivalent examination in any stream conducted by a recognized Board/University/Council.

Or 

AICTE approved 3-year full-time Diploma after Class X offered by Board of Technical Education of any state in India or Union Territories or from UGC recognized Universities or equivalent.

B.Sc - Minimum 50% aggregate marks in XII Std. or its equivalent examination in any stream conducted by a recognized Board/ University/ Council with Physics, Chemistry and either of Mathematics or Biology as Mandatory Subjects.

BCA - Minimum 50% marks in XII Std. with Mathematics or its equivalent examination in any stream conducted by a recognized Board/University/ Council with Mathematics as Mandatory Subjec

BA - Minimum 50% in XII or its equivalent examination in any stream conducted by a recognized Board/University/Council.

M.Tech - Minimum 55% marks in   BE/B Tech or equivalent in ECE, EE or equivalent branch or MSc in ECE/Physics. GATE/NET qualified students shall be preferred.

MBA - Minimum 50% marks throughout in X, XII standard and Graduation with a valid CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT score or valid score in the test conducted by DITU.

MCA - BCA/Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering or equivalent degree with at least 50% marks in qualifying examination. 

M.Plan - Minimum 55% Marks in B. Arch/B. Plan/ or B.E./ B. Tech in Civil Engineering or M. Sc/M.A. in Geography/Economics/Sociology.

M.Des - Minimum 50% marks in graduation or its equivalent examination in any stream conducted by a recognized board/ University.
